Maxximus Environmental, Inc., founded in 2000, is an environmental management, health, safety, and security consulting firm headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. Founded by Rafael Lopez, an entrepreneur with more than 15 years industry-related experience, Maxximus is committed to delivering top quality service and solutions on a round-the-clock basis.
In May 2002, Maxximus was certified by the Small Business Administration 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business Program.
In 2008, Maxximus expanded its mission to include security services as a logical extension of its core business – protecting employees in the workplace. Today, Maxximus protects people from the perimeter to the inner core of their work spaces, both environmentally and physically. Maxximus differentiates itself from competition in the following ways:
- Small Business Administration 8(a) Status – Maxximus is a SBA and SDB 8(a) certified participant in a government program that is designed to help small disadvantaged businesses receive sole source business or government contracts. This has enhanced Maxximus’ capabilities in providing a broad range of services in the American marketplace.
- Commitment to Training – Maxximus provides intensive on-the-job training to all its staff, as well as formal EHS&S license and certification classes.
- High Employee Retention – The key to Maxximus’ high employee retention rate is due to the fact that it is employee owned. Employees hold an equity position in the firm.
